SETTING ADJUSTMENT FOR NON-BLACK BOX USERS

 

When using larger accounts to trade, the above settings please proportion the following settings

 

Position for First Entry (say 0.05)

 

This setting is based on a $1,000 account. If you are using a $5,000 this setting should be multiplied by 5 (5,000/1,000) to become 0.25 (0.05 x 5)

 

Target Closure $ Amount (say 5.0)

 

This setting is based on a $1,000 account. If you are using a $5,000, this setting should be multiplied by 5 (5,000/1,000) to become 25.0 (5.0 x 5)

What to do when your back-tested or optimization results are not satisfactory

  1. Make sure you are not using the weekend spreads when testing.

  2. Double the account size, and if that does not work, double it again

  3. Halve the lot sizing, and if that does not work, halve it again.

  4. Make sure you are using the lowest volatility currencies possible

  5. Make sure you know the trading times start during the lowest-volatility periods for the specific instrument you're using (Use ChatGPT to tell you when those are).

  6. Move to another instrument that may give you better and safer results.

  7. Make sure you are using the 1-minute time frame

  8. Double the price difference settings

  9. Increase the Price Difference Scaling Rate

  10. Try different entry options from the 5 options provided

  11. Make sure your entry and stop times are not too big (2 / 3 hours is good).

  12. Prune earlier.

  13. Check whether disallowing Friday trading reduces the drawdown %
